Race info Blodslitet 2009

Map
Østsidenmarka, scale 1:10 000/1:15 000, contour interval 5m, last updated 2009. The map is surveyed and revised to IOF standard by Lars Ole Klavestad. D/H21 and D/H17-20 will use scale 1:15 000 and all other classes 1:10 000.

Terrain
The terrain provides fast running with large numbers of paths and fields. There are areas of bare rock surface where the running is very good. But the terrain also contains some tougher areas with crags and re-entrants. Blodslitet was held in the same terrain in 2001.

Classes and Course Information

Marked routes are included in the length.

Number bibs
All runners are required to wear number bibs well visible. These will be available in the team bag.

Controls near the arena

Team bag
Rented emit bricks, backup cards, name stickers and maps for the runners in D/H11-12 and N Åpen are found in the team bag. Rented emit cards should be returned by club to the event office. If failing to do so, or returning a damaged emit card, the club will be charged for the cost of a new one. The maps for the D/H11-12 and N Åpen are only copies. The runners will get a new map on the start line.

Start
All runners must activate their emit cards before entering the start area. Runners failing to activate their emit card, will be disqualified. There will be mass start in all classes. Maps are marked with the number of the runner. The runner is responsible for taking the right map. The marked route to the start point must be followed. The ground is bumpy in the start area.
